Hey. So streaming is pretty big these days, sites like http://en.twitch.tv/ exist and you can find alot of different games being streamed there. This past week, http://speeddemosarchive.com/ was holding their yearly charity marathon where they basically just speedrun a bunch of games for charity. And what I noticed was that for each game they also linked to the runner's own personal twitch.tv stream. So apperantly most of the speedrunners at SDA are streaming their speedrunning sessions, which made me think why there are no F-Zero streams... I think it would be freakin' awesome to watch F-Zero players stream their TA sessions and perhaps even with live commentary.
And what's good is that streaming is really easier than ever to pull out: all you need is a streaming program, I recommend http://www.xsplit.com/ and http://www.obsproject.com/, and you will also need some sort of capture card. A Pinnacle Dazzle is an example of a card that will do the job if you play on older systems. They are also very cheap.
So would anyone be up to start the very first F-Zero Time Attack stream? some are already recording their runs live since there are no replay function in most of the f-zero games, so the step to stream is not that far away already. And what's neat with a site such as twitch.tv is that it auto records everything you're streaming. So the advantages for it are many but mainly i think it's just a great way to show off the F-Zero games to the public since streaming is becoming huge these days.
Update: Check out http://www.twitch.tv/team/fzc for a bunch of people that stream F-Zero. If you want to be added too, send me a msg.
