I've been putting these attempts off for a while (Sorry Richard ). Been wanting to do them, but didn't want to deal with the initial repeated four lap burden for each attempt anymore. After doing so many attempts on the SNES classic with restore points, it feels even more unproductive going back to doing fast laps the original way. That being said, I also bought a Game Saver to use with F-ZERO on the console. I figured I should give it a try on BS F-ZERO GRAND PRIX 2 and to my surprise, it actually works with the Satellaview cart.
22"37 December 30th, 2018. For this time, I initiated the first save point before the start of the fast lap and did not need to load a save point for this lap attempt. In essence, the Game Saver functionality was not used for this time. This fast lap attempt was also the first fast lap attempt I have ever made on this track.
22"29 December 30th, 2018. Game Saver used. My second fast lap attempt on this track.
15"96 May 29th, 2016. This time was set when I was under the assumption that repro cart times weren't allowed for WR's in BSFZGP2 and so I disregarded it's relevance because of that. Someone in the community had updated my Twitch repro cart 5-lap times to the WR board at some point, so I'm now under the assumption that repro cart times are accepted by the community presently which I am okay with. After looking at the WR lap times the other night, I remembered I had this one boost lap time and thus the delay in why I'm bringing it to light now.
